Registered VeterinaryTechnicians Team
My name is Kate and I graduated from Seneca College’s veterinary technician program, and became an RVT, in 2017. Before attending Seneca I completed my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree at the University of Guelph in 2015. I have known that I wanted to work in the veterinary field since I started working in a vet clinic as a high school student, and have enjoyed my work as an RVT so far. I have been riding horses since I was 7 years old and I now own a 20 year old Canadian horse named Galalie, who is the love of my life. We do some low level eventing, but mostly just enjoy life and go for hacks now. I also have a cockapoo named Charlie at home that my family rescued 4 years ago. When I’m not at work I enjoy yoga, hiking, skiing and of course riding and spending time with my horse.
Kristine, Head R.V.T
Kristine joined Bayview Hill Animal hospital in July 2015. She graduated from the Seneca College Veterinary Technician Program in 2014 and obtained her honours Biology degree from the University of Waterloo in 2009. Kristine has always been passionate for animals since a child. She currently has a Yorkie poo named Tommy and two cats, KitKat and Smokey.
Hi! I'm Katherine and I am an RVT. Though I only graduated from Seneca College's Veterinary Technician program in 2016, I have been involved in veterinary care since I was in my first years of high school as a volunteer. I knew I wanted to become an RVT since I was 17. My special interests would have to be in rehabilitative therapy and behaviour. I share my home with two pets - one crazy Spaniel mutt named Charlie (pictured) and one fluffy Domestic Medium Hair named Rascal. Outside of my love for furry creatures, I play the guitar/ukulele/bass and sing for my church's band and I am currently learning dance! (So far, not very good at the latter.) Hope to see you and your little loved one soon.
My name is Melissa and I’m an RVT! I graduated from the Seneca College Veterinary Technician Program in 2019 and completed my co-op placement at Bayview Hill Animal Hospital prior to becoming a full-time technician here. Before Seneca, I attended the University of Waterloo where I achieved my Bachelor of Science degree. I’m passionate about helping animals and I’ve always loved them ever since I could remember. I am currently exploring what I love most about being a veterinary technician as I am still quite new in this field. I think it’s safe to say that my favorite so far is doing my part in making sure that all your little ones are happy and healthy! When I am not at the clinic, I am either snuggling with my cats Pepper and Luda (while watching Netflix) or playing with my shepherd-lab mix Leica. My lifelong dream is to become a competitive powerlifter, which I am currently working hard towards!
