How are we serving your pets during a global pandemic?
COVID-19 PROTOCOL

WE ARE HERE AND WE CARE

During these unprecedented times, pet ownership has increased exponentially, but the number of veterinary staff has not. There is a global shortage of trained and qualified veterinary staff that are struggling to keep up with the demand for veterinary care.

Because of these shortages, there are many veterinary clinics that have limited their hours or have closed completely. General practice and referral practices are booking weeks to months in advance due to increased case-loads as well as emergency hospitals are unable to take on any more patients into their ICUs and having to turn pets away to try to go elsewhere. Wait-times are long.

We ask all our clients to please be patient and understanding with our veterinary team and the surrounding ones in our community. We have devoted ourselves to providing the best for you and your pets and we only ask that the same respect and kindness we give is returned to us as well. We do this all because we care.

We will continue to provide our high quality medical services for your pets curb-side (i.e. only veterinary staff allowed in the clinic) and by appointment only. We will always ensure we discuss your pets’ medical care options in detail over the phone to help you make your decision.  Please make sure to be available on your fully charged mobile phone for your pets’ appointment.

Veterinary food and medication supplies are also experiencing difficulty keeping up with the high demand. Food and medication refills require veterinary approval and many need to be ordered in or can be on supplier back-order (with sometimes unknown ETAs). To avoid frustration and “running out”, we highly recommend requesting food and/or medication refills well in advance (at least 1 week or more) as back-orders and delivery times of supplies are beyond our control.

We are doing the best we can in these challenging times, so please be kind and compassionate and give us the patience, understanding and respect that we need to continue to be here for you and your pets.
