Daily regular brushing is strongly recommended to keep your pet’s mouth in the best condition and decrease the risks of gingivitis and periodontal disease. Dental disease can lead to serious health problems. Life threatening diseases such as kidney, heart, liver, as well as bladder infections can be prevented simply by brushing your pet’s teeth. Your pet’s dental health program begins with an annual examination. If plaque and gum disease (gingivitis) are present it is strongly advised that a dental scaling of your pet’s teeth should be arranged. Our hospital is equipped with the same modern up-to-date equipment that you would see at your own dentist’s office. This equipment enables us to ultrasonically scale the plaque away, leaving a cleaner healthier mouth. A fluoride treatment as well as polishing the teeth are also performed to further prevent the return of plaque build up.

We also have Veterinary dental specialists to call upon to perform root canals or cap teeth and much more if the need arises

To inquire further about this service please call the hospital.
